In January 2007, Forest City implemented a requirement that all new development projects submit a “Sustainability Report Card” as part of an internal review process. This report card will use the U.S. Green Building Council’s nationally accepted rating system LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system which will be used to measure and support sustainable development in all of Forest City’s new development projects.
