Forest City Washington is the Company’s Mid-Atlantic hub. As an office, Forest City Washington specializes in mixed-use, residential and military housing development, with demonstrated skills in public-private partnerships and adaptive reuse.

 

Within the District of Columbia, the Company is developing two significant mixed-use projects.

 

  • Waterfront Station in Southwest D.C. will include 1.2 million square feet of new office space, approximately 1,000 residential units and at least 110,000 square feet of street-level retail. The project’s initial phase, scheduled to open in 2010, includes two office buildings fully leased to the D.C. government.
  • The Yards, in the Capitol Riverfront district, is a 5.5 million-square-foot project that will include approximately 1.8 million square feet of office; 2,800 residential units; 400,000 square feet of retail; and a world-class riverfront park.

Our regional portfolio includes a diverse array of properties in major metro areas.

 

  • The residential portfolio includes a dozen existing communities, located in the Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Richmond markets.
  • The commercial portfolio includes two retail centers and an adaptive reuse office property in Richmond; a four-level, mixed-use center, including retail and office uses, located in Arlington, Va.; and The Science + Technology Park at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
