One Red Hot Night

“Fabulous,” said Jerry Ferstman.

“Wonderful,” said Joginder Singh, executive vice president, Forest City Commercial Construction.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Cory Scott, general manager, The Promenade Bolingbrook.

The praise and superlatives were flowing at the One Red Hot Night charity gala. Yet the most important measure of the event’s success is a number written on a check that the Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital received: $400,000.

The sold-out crowd of over 1,800 dined, sipped, danced, shopped and mingled at Bolingbrook’s new Macy’s as the star-studded event raised nearly half a million dollars for the new children’s emergency room in Bolingbrook.

As spotlights shined and Mariachis played on the red carpet, eager partygoers valet parked and made their way inside. The red hot vibe was in full effect with daringly-dressed performers and stilt walkers, who worked the crowed into a Caribbean frenzy.

Inside, guests clamored for pictures with actress Laura Innes, who played Dr. Kerry Weaver on the NBC drama “ER,” and Stacy Keibler, the leggy entertainer from ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” and “What About Brian.”

“One Red Hot Night was about celebrating, giving back to the community and enjoying a terrific night of top notch entertainment,” Cory Scott said. “The ticket sales supported a terrific cause, and the diversity of food, performers and music, along with the superior selection of Macy’s merchandise, offered something for everyone.”

Palmer thanked everyone on behalf of the hospital. "We are extremely grateful to Forest City and Macy's. We didn't go to them. They went to us. We are very grateful."
