The Big Show

Boston is home base for the Forest City Science + Technology Group. But from May 6-9, they won’t be the only big names in town.

Actor Michael J. Fox and U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), will both speak during BIO’s keynote session on May 7. Fox, the founder of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, and Kennedy, chairman for the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, will discuss the need for creative approaches to speed and increase meaningful, patient-relevant advances in human health.

“Michael’s address will stand as a highlight of our convention as we spotlight the progress being made by the biotechnology industry in the search for improved treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s and other debilitating diseases,” said Jim Greenwood, president and CEO of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the producer of the International Convention.

In addition, Forest City is a host of BIO’s public officials reception - an invitation-only event that brings federal, state, local and international elected officials to network with BIO officials and with the Science + Technology Group.

With its 20-year history of developing collaborative life science partnerships with academic, medical and scientific institutions, the Forest City Science + Technology Group will surely stand out in the crowd.

“From design and development to construction and operation, we offer unmatched expertise and resources for our clients,” Farris said. “We are working together to not only create jobs and grow economies, but for the betterment of society as a whole,” she added. “We’ve made a great difference so far, and the future is even brighter.”
