Developing Selected Products in Target Markets Forest City employs an integrated, diversified strategy to capitalize on growth markets. We concentrate on urban areas in larger markets where we have successfully gained access to large, complex projects with relatively high barriers to entry. Once we are in an attractive market, we expand our presence with additional property types to achieve increasingly strong returns.
Employing this aspect of our strategy since 1997, we have significantly increased our presence in our target markets of:

- New York
- California
- Washington, D.C.
- Chicago
We have also pursued numerous unique development opportunities in a variety of other urban areas, including our corporate hometown of Cleveland, Chicago, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Richmond, among others.
