Thomas T. Kmiecik is assistant treasurer of Forest City Enterprises, Inc.

Kmiecik joined Forest City in 1998 as the assistant treasurer. He is primarily responsible for overseeing the Company’s treasury office and cash management department, including management of the company’s revolving credit facilities and short-term investments. He is also responsible for investor and shareholder relations -- specializing in institutional investor, rating agency and market analyst relations.

Prior to joining Forest City, Kmiecik was a senior executive at First Union Real Estate Investments from 1984 to 1998, where he served as senior vice president-treasurer, vice president-treasurer, treasurer and assistant controller. Before that, he served four years as an auditor and certified public accountant (CPA) for Arthur Young & Co.

Kmiecik is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trust (NAREIT), Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  He is also active in the United Way, Junior Olympics – Women’s Gymnastics and the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA).

He graduated magna cum laude from Baldwin-Wallace College with a degree in business administration, concentrating in accounting and finance.
